Supportive leadership and employee creativity: Will Leader-Member Exchange mediate the relationship?

Purpose: This study proposes to integrate supportive leadership, leader-member exchange (LMX), and employee creativity. It suggests that LMX can play a role as mediator. Research methodology: A total of 200 participants were included in this study. They working for tobacco company located district Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Analysis hypotheses was done SPSS AMOS. Results: found leadership positively related (LMX) Leader-member Finally, mediated the relationship between Limitations: The taken from one company. might lower generalizability results. Another limitation is use cross-sectional method data collection which result common variance. Future studies could employ other methods. For example, multi-wave remedy problem. Contribution: style necessary implement because it promote higher quality employees their supervisors. More importantly, aligns with organizational effort foster Novelty: quality. Since dyad characterized by team effectiveness, investigation link may provide an understanding factors influence (LMX).
